Here's What I've Been Doing

Hi so I returned from California on Friday evening. Slept Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. In between I have been sewing.
New Doll Quilt

Finished This One Quilted and I love the backing

The Photos don't do this justice-it is yecky outside so I had to take the photo inside. I think I am going to stipple quilt it-any suggestions are welcome.
Then there is this bad boy- and if you are going to finish yours then I think I should put my money where my mouth is and finish mine too.

Progress Report

Great fun quilting with you last weekend, as always!
I've been working on some blocks for an upcoming LQS BOM. Not really my taste and way too many seams in each block so I was anxious to finish them...which I did yesterday. I need to remind myself more often to say no and/or keep my mouth closed.

My sister's quilt is slowly coming along. I really like the secondary patterns in it.

more than one block

Here's a bad picture of the Primrose Path top I was telling you about...

It looks much better in person!

You know that goal that we made for me?? You know the one where I'm going to quilt one of my hundreds of finished tops a month? Does it matter what size top it is? I think I'm going to start with this one

Our family does have a baby arriving this year and I could stash this away just in case!
Enough about me, what's new with you!

What Was I Thinking???

Where were you when I needed you? One the local quilt stores offered a class the other day on this quilt...

You have to squint..it's the small one! It's a Cindy Blackburg design that is just beautiful. I signed up not realizing that the pattern pieces are all hand stamped on to the fabric, individually cut and then pieced by hand! The four blocks in the middle are all handwork too! Needless to say this is going to be a long work in progress.

Here are all the pieces for one nine inch block and and the one paw that I've done. I should have put a penny in the picture so you could get a better feel for just how small these things are. Today I experimented with piecing  sewed one seam on the machine and was happy with it.

Here's a better view of the bear paw...I do love the color combo! Just not too jazzed about hand piecing. You know me..I'm a jam it through the machine and be first to finish kind of girl! I'm determined to finish this just because it is outside my comfort zone. Wish me luck!
Another project completed is this Valentine pillow cover. Really happy about this one.

I love your brother's quilt and the story behind it. You are so prolific and talented. You amaze me with the projects that you share. Miss you and love you.

A Quilt for My Baby Brother

My Baby Bro will be 45 this Friday and I thought he needed a quilt to lay on the couch and read. When we were kids we had this beach house that didn't have a tv so I would read all the time, and he had nothing to do when I would be reading so he would read and he believes that was the beginning of the great adventures he's had with books. The pattern for this quilt was all wrong only I didn't discover that until I got the center part done. Rather than ripping it out I made adjustments however this quilt will never be able to be a proper wall hanging- however it can say hello- can you say wavy sides?
